How Nestling works

A simple, safe way to buy, sell, and rent gently loved baby gear with families in your neighborhood — verified neighbours, not anonymous strangers.

For buyers

Find quality gear near you

Find it nearby

Search by category, brand, condition, and distance to discover gently loved gear from families in your neighborhood. Sort by "nearest" to find pickups close to home.

Message or make an offer

Chat with the seller right in the app. Ask questions, or send an offer at the price you want — they can accept, counter, or decline.

Agree a price

The seller accepts, counters, or declines. Nothing is settled until you have met and seen the item — in-app payment is paused at the moment while we move to a new payment provider, so you and the seller settle up directly at handoff.

Meet & exchange a PIN

Meet the seller in a safe public spot. When you have the item in your hands, you share a one-time PIN that confirms the handoff for both of you. If anything is off, don't share it — and tell us.

For sellers

Turn outgrown gear into cash

List in under 2 minutes

Snap a few photos, set your price, and post. Listing is completely free — there's no cost to put an item up.

Get offers from local parents

Buyers nearby message and make offers. You're in control — accept, counter, or decline right from your inbox.

Confirm the handoff

Meet the buyer, hand over the item, and enter the PIN they give you. That confirms the exchange and triggers your payout.

Get paid at handoff

In-app payouts are paused while we move to a new payment provider, so buyers settle with you directly when you hand the item over. Listing stays free, and no fee is being taken in the meantime — we'll email you when payouts are back.

For renters

Borrow what you only need for a while

Request your dates

For items marked "Available to borrow," pick your pickup and return dates and send a request. You'll see the daily price and any refundable deposit up front.

Deposit held, not spent

A refundable deposit is authorized to protect the lender. The rental fee is charged at pickup — and the deposit is released back to you when you return the item.

Pickup & return PINs

You exchange a PIN at pickup and again at return. Return on time and in good shape, and your deposit comes straight back.

Built to keep both sides safe

Everyone here has a verified email and phone, and a profile that carries their history — you are not meeting an anonymous stranger. Every handoff is confirmed with a one-time PIN exchanged in person, so both sides have a record of what happened, and we always recommend meeting in a public place.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free to list an item?

Yes — listing is always free, and nothing is charged if an item does not sell. In-app payments are paused at the moment while we move to a new payment provider, so no fee is being taken at all.

How do I know the other person is trustworthy?

Everyone on Nestling has a verified email and phone and a profile that carries their history, so you are not meeting an anonymous stranger. Every handoff is confirmed by a one-time PIN, which both sides exchange in person, so there is a record of what happened. We always recommend meeting in a public place.

What if the item isn't as described?

You see the item before the handoff is confirmed, so if something is wrong you can simply not go ahead — walk away and tell us, and we will look at the account. Nothing is settled until you have the item in your hands.

How do payouts work for sellers?

In-app payments are paused while we move to a new payment provider, so buyers and sellers are settling up directly at handoff for now. We will email every seller when in-app payouts are back, and listing stays free either way.

Can I rent gear instead of buying?

Yes — items marked "Available to borrow" can be rented by the day. A refundable deposit protects the lender and is returned to you when you return the item on time.

Will Nestling ever ask for my card or bank details in a message?

Never. Nestling will never ask for a card number, a bank login, or a verification code — not in a message, not by email, not on the phone. If someone does, even under a name that looks official, it is a scam. Report it and don't reply.

How do I report a suspicious user?

Open the conversation, tap the menu in the top corner, and choose Block or Report. You can also message us here and we'll look into the account directly.
